And just as I got started, I fell behind. Maybe I should’ve taken into account the fact that the holiday season is upon us and that I DO get busier this time of year. Or that I just started a new certificate program. Or that it is always crunch time at work this time of year.

I’m grateful for the privilege to work from home. As of right now, my supervisor is okay with me working from home on Fridays and one other day of the week, pending no crucial in-person meeting or client delivery. I’m personally grateful for this flexibility; not having to get dressed or commute in are such small blessings and adds several hours to my day.
Workplace 101
The Future Of Work and the Current State of Work could not be further apart in ideologies, practice and execution. The disparity lies in the Workplace. A Workplace that still has an assembly line mentality directly contrasts with the idea of innovation and collaboration, flexibility and work-life balance (the current buzzwords to make office environments seemingly workplace forward).

As it turns out, I am a categorical Xennial

- a micro-generation born between 1977-1983
- experienced an analogue childhood and digital adulthood
- hates the entitlement of baby boomers
- commiserates with the optimism of millennial’s
